THE LEGALITEES STORY

“Look at the person on your left, then look at the person on your right,” said Professor Hansen on the first day of law school. “These people will not be not be with you at graduation.”

And so that day it began, that incredible journey called Law School. Those who have taken the journey, whether they realize it or not, have a bond, a kinship, with one another. Only those who have taken this journey can know the truth, and terror, in Professor Hansen’s words.

Legalitiees began one day while some innocents were taking their fill of libations at the “library” near school. The Rule Against Perpetuities, comprehensible only in direct proportion to the amount of refreshment imbibed, turned again to gobbledygook as the effect of the liquid thus poured wore off. What sadist was responsible for this, we asked, sure in the knowledge that whoever it was, was having much more than a laugh at our expense.

It became evident that each person, though individual and different in many ways, was going through the same trials, tribulations, and tortures. Each was experiencing the same misery…and elation.

Legalitees has endeavored to capture this been-there-done-that kinship, this spirit of knowing, of belonging to the “club” in every design. These are not so much tee-shirts as they are an irreverent, humorous, loving and hating, remembrance of the journey that is law school.

To those who persevered, and to those who didn’t…in the Legalitiees spirit…please join us in telling Professor Hansen to:
